As a Positive Support Specialist, you will work individuals who have severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) and challenging behaviors. These behaviors can include, but are not limited to, verbal/physical aggression, property destruction, self-injurious behaviors and elopement.

You will also:

  • Assist individuals with personal cares and household needs.
  • Advocate for the people supported in all aspects of their life in areas such as rights, medical care, and in the community.
  • Participate with the individuals in a variety of events and activities.
  • Complete necessary documentation and record-keeping every shift.
  • Manage crisis situations safely and effectively.
  • Engage in trauma-informed care daily.

$20 / HR + $2,000 HIRE BONUS!!! Along with a 50 wage increase at 6 months! Part-time and Full time Positions Available.

    Qualifications and Requirements may include:

    • Minimum requirement of one-year of working with individuals with maladaptive behavioral history and knowledge of behavior management techniques preferred.
    • Minimum requirement of one-year of CRS, 245D, or SCS experience.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of individuals and recognized individual boundaries.
    • Previous completion of at least on singular training in behavioral skills/emergency use of manual restraints such as PIA, CPI, and MANDT.
    • Knowledge of local community resources is a plus.
    • Must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study
